Aber dann schaute ich ins Lexikon und die Sache mit dem Abfall wurde kompliziert/ but then I looked it up in my dictionary and the "Abfall" problem, the litter matter became more complicated, as the dictionary in its German-English half did not mention "litter" at all (only in the English-German part "litter" among other meanings is translated as "herumliegende Abfälle"):
