The Anglican President of the Anglican-Lutheran Society, the Very Rev. Dr. John Arnold has received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in 2002:

One of this
year’s recipients will be the Dean of Durham, the Very
Reverend John Arnold.
Dr Arnold, who retires in 2002, receives an Honorary Doctorate
of Divinity,
in recognition of his work in support of scholarship, international
church relations and the community in the city and region of Durham.
